Notes on how my app handles its Pinterest connection and the data involved.
- Who uses the app?
Only me. It is a personal tool for my studio, it connects to my own Pinterest account and no other, and it is not sold or offered to anyone.
- How does it connect to Pinterest?
Through Pinterest's own sign-in page and consent screen, opened from Settings → Connections in the app. The app never sees the password. The permissions it asks for, and what each one is for, are listed on How It Works.
- What does it do with the account?
It shows which account is connected, lists my boards, creates a board when I ask for one, publishes the Pins I approve, checks that each one went up, and shows me how my published Pins are doing. It does not read anyone else's boards, Pins or account.
- When is a Pin published?
Only after I have reviewed and approved it. Until then it waits in the app, where anything about it can be changed. A Pin that has not been approved is never published.
- Where are the Pinterest tokens kept?
Encrypted on the app's backend, hosted by Supabase in EU (London). The desktop app never stores them.
- What happens on disconnect?
Choosing Disconnect in Settings → Connections deletes the tokens from the backend straight away, and any other records of my Pins within 30 days. Access can also be removed from Pinterest's own settings. Pins already published stay on Pinterest until they are deleted there.
- Does this website collect anything?
No. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics. If you email me, your message is used only to reply. The details are in the Privacy Policy.
- How can I get in touch?
Email contact@hwdprintstudio.com. I usually reply within two working days.
